The poet Frank O’Hara once wrote, “If you’re going to buy a pair of pants you want them to be tight enough so everyone will want to go to bed with you.” O’Hara’s advice has often led me into the doors of Unis. Here I wear the Davis. They’re not “girlfriend jean” tight, but they’re pleated, true to size, warm enough to withstand a Boston winter, and tapered enough to make O’Hara proud.
Alex Gilvarry is the author of the novel From the Memoirs of a Non-Enemy Combatant.
